The opportunity to become bilingual is one of the greatest gifts you can give your child to succeed in today's world.
Being bilingual is more than just being able to converse with a wider range of people.
Bilingualism has been linked to enhancing a variety of cognitive skills making kids smarter by improving early reading skills, solving problems, and overall school performance.
Research shows that the bilingual brain is sharper and more focused. It also indicates that the earlier children are exposed to a second language, the more likely they will speak it with fluency and good pronunciation.
Why Spanish?
Spanish is the second most spoken language in the United States and the third worldwide.
Spanish is expected to be the first language of 50% of the population of the United States within 50 years.
Every day, scientists all over are learning about new benefits of infants and children in bilingual early education.
In CMS alone, there has been a substantial increase in the number of Hispanic students in that last 10 years, with the district reaching some 40,000 of those students. This article highlights the data.
